Organising Angel - Terms of Service
These Terms of Service set out the terms on which Organising Angel Ltd provides professional organising, decluttering and related services.
By booking or using Organising Angel’s services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Consultation
Depending on the nature and scope of your work, a one-hour walk-around consultation may be recommended before any sessions are booked. The consultation costs £35, payable in advance. If you decide to proceed with any sessions, the £35 consultation fee will be deducted from the final cost of your sessions.
2. Securing Your Booking
A 50% payment for your first session is required in advance to secure your booking. Your booking is confirmed once the payment has been received and the date and time have been agreed.
3. Sessions and Pricing
Sessions are charged at £35 per hour, with a minimum booking of 3 hours. You book Organising Angel’s time rather than a particular room or a guaranteed finished result. We will focus on your agreed priorities and achieve as much as possible during the booked session. If you require additional time beyond the booked session, this will be charged at £35 per hour, or £8.75 per additional 15 minutes, with your agreement.
4. Breaks
For longer sessions, reasonable breaks will be taken as needed. Breaks are not normally included within the booked working time unless otherwise agreed.
5. Payment
Payment is due at the end of each organising session unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance. Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash. Organising Angel reserves the right to require payment in advance for future sessions where previous payment has not been made as agreed.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible. Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, Organising Angel may charge a cancellation fee where reasonable to cover losses directly resulting from the cancellation, taking into account any costs or loss of time that cannot reasonably be recovered.
Where a booking is cancelled within any statutory cancellation period that applies, your legal rights will apply. If you ask Organising Angel to begin providing services during a statutory cancellation period, you may be required to pay for the proportion of the service provided up to the point of cancellation, where permitted by law.
Organising Angel may need to reschedule a session due to illness, unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Where this happens, every effort will be made to offer an alternative date. If Organising Angel is unable to provide an alternative date, any payment made for the cancelled session will be refunded.
7. Advice and Decisions About Belongings
Organising Angel will work alongside you to help you decide what you wish to keep, donate, recycle or dispose of. You remain responsible for the final decision about your belongings. Organising Angel will not remove or dispose of items without your agreement. Organising Angel does not provide valuations of items and does not guarantee the financial or sentimental value of any belongings.
8. Removal of Unwanted Items
As part of an organising session, Organising Angel may take away one car boot load of items for charity, recycling or disposal. Where available, Organising Angel can also arrange a charity collection from your address. Any items being removed will be agreed with you before they leave the property. Organising Angel cannot guarantee acceptance by a particular charity, recycling centre or disposal facility and may decline to transport items that are unsafe, prohibited or unsuitable for the vehicle.
9. Limits of the Work
Organising Angel provides professional organising and decluttering support and does not provide specialist cleaning, building, electrical, plumbing, pest control, hazardous waste removal or other specialist trades unless specifically agreed. You should disclose any relevant access issues, hazards or circumstances that may affect the safe completion of the work. Organising Angel reserves the right to stop or refuse work where conditions are considered unsafe.
10. Photographs and Video
Photographs or video may be requested or taken before, during or after a session, where reasonably necessary to help Organising Angel plan, prepare for or carry out the session. Photographs or video will be kept private and will only be used in connection with providing the agreed service. They will not be shared with anyone or used for marketing, social media or other promotional purposes without your specific permission. Where permission is given, reasonable steps will be taken to avoid showing identifying personal information.
11. Confidentiality and Privacy
Organising Angel respects your privacy and will treat your personal information and information seen within your home as confidential. Personal information will be handled in accordance with Organising Angel’s Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation. Information will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to provide the agreed service, where legally required, or with your consent.
12. Insurance
Organising Angel Ltd maintains appropriate business insurance for the services it provides. You are responsible for ensuring that your own home and contents insurance remains appropriate for your circumstances.
13. Travel
Organising Angel provides services across East London and surrounding areas of Essex. Travel within this service area is included unless otherwise agreed. A mileage charge may apply for locations outside the usual service area. Any additional travel charge will be discussed and agreed with you before your booking is confirmed.
14. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for providing Organising Angel with safe and reasonable access to the areas where work is to take place. You should ensure that valuable, fragile, confidential or particularly sensitive items are identified where appropriate. You remain responsible for decisions regarding your belongings and for providing accurate information relevant to the service.
15. Changes to These Terms
Organising Angel Ltd may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The Terms applicable to your booking will be those in effect at the time your booking is confirmed, unless otherwise agreed.
16. Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Where applicable, services will be provided with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
